Atos Research & Innovation (ARI), R&D node of Atos, is a point of world reference in innovation for the whole Atos group. Atos participates in R&D projects in national or international consortia that enrich Atos' technological portfolio. Our background of 25 years participating in EC projects helps us reinforce our links with our customers by bringing research outcomes to Atos' customers and empowering our role as source of innovative ideas. Within ARI, the Transport, Tourism &Environment sector (TTE) covers research and innovation for transportation, urban mobility and tourism needs that are growing faster than expected. The Environment area comprehends a set of activities and competences focused on the production of goods and services oriented towards the measurement, prevention, limitation and minimization or reduction of the environmental impact in water, air or soil, as well as addressing the problems associated to wastes, noise and ecosystems.
The GEO lab, within the Environment Sector in ARI, focuses its activity on the design and implementation of information architectures, oriented towards the seamless geospatial data distribution and execution of distributed geospatial processes to improve the Natural Risk Management. The GEO lab has developed (since 1999) a large number of consultancy and research projects dealing with the use of the current geographical information standards and linked in many cases with the European Policy Initiatives in this field (INSPIRE).
