EXPLORE THE DATA ECOSYSTEM
WHO and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) developed a new database for Individual Food Consumption Data. The Chronic Individual Food Consumption database “ Summary statistics (CIFOCOss), hosted by WHO, is currently containing summary statistics of 37 surveys from 26 countries (only surveys with a survey duration of 2 days or more). It was initially developed to be used by FAO/WHO scientific committees in particular for dietary exposure assessment. It provides summary statistics at 3 levels of food categorization for a total of about 500 items at level 3. CIFOCOss will from now on be continuously implemented with data from additional surveys.
