EXPLORE THE DATA ECOSYSTEM

The Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) is a nonprofit research institution and a member of the [link]Leibniz Association. The Institute is the initiator and center of the Biotech Campus Gatersleben in central Germany.

Our nutrition is based on the products of crop plants, which also provide renewable raw materials and energy. Research into the genetic and molecular basis of the traits important for crop productivity and the conservation of crop diversity are both vital to our attempts to adapt crop plants to the needs of a growing global population and a changing environment. This is where the work of IPK starts.
