The European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC) is a distributed RI aiming at providing a strategic delivery mechanism for excellent and largescale marine science in Europe. EMBRC offers services to users from academia, industry, technology and education in all sectors in the fields of marine biology and ecology, particularly supporting the development of blue biotechnologies. The services will be provided at the EMBRC nodes in EMBRC member countries. Founded in 1881, the Oceanographic Observatory, known as the "Arago Laboratory" is an ideal place to study marine biology and oceanography in Languedoc-Roussillon. Located on a rocky coast and close to the Spanish border, the area contains an exceptional diversity of biotopes, fauna and flora in marine and terrestrial habitats.
L’Association Nationale des Industries Alimentaires (ANIA) rassemble 19 fédérations nationales sectorielles et 20 associations régionales. L’ANIA est l’interlocuteur privilégié des pouvoirs publics, des administrations et des médias sur les sujets liés à l’alimentation.
L’ANIA est présidée depuis 2013 par Jean-Philippe GIRARD, Président de l’entreprise Eurogerm. Un Conseil d’Administration, composé de 47 dirigeants du monde de l’industrie alimentaire et de groupes agroalimentaires, a pour objectif de fixer les orientations stratégiques de l’ANIA.
L'Ifremer contribue, par ses travaux et expertises, à la connaissance des océans et de leurs ressources, à la surveillance du milieu marin et du littoral et au développement durable des activités maritimes. À ces fins, il conçoit et met en œuvre des outils d'observation, d'expérimentation et de surveillance, et gère des bases de données océanographiques.
Depuis le 1er janvier 2018, l’Ifremer opère également la flotte océanographique française au bénéfice de la communauté scientifique.
