The company Telenatura is a technology based company (TBE) between universities. The founding members are professors at the University Miguel Hernández of Elche UMH and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), part of the technology and methodologies employed in the services we offer are based on research projects, conducted by researchers from the Engineering Agroforestry Area, Department of Engineering at the UMH, and Department of Food Engineering and Agricultural Equipment, University of Cartagena UPCT.

The Netherlands Bioinformatics Centre – as an NGI Technology Centre – is in a transition phase. The research, support and education activities in the NBIC programmes BioRange, BioAssist and BioWise end or move at the end of this year (2013).

The bioinformatics research projects funded by NGI will end this year, which will lead to the finalisation of the BioRange programme December 31st, 2013. The programme has led to an impressive list of scientific publications, theses, tools and most of all: a new generation of well-trained bioinformaticians.

The Saturas stem water potential concept was developed from the field by Dr. Moshe Meron, a senior researcher at MIGAL Research Institute and a leading member of the Saturas team. MIGAL supports about 10,000 farmers in the north of Israel, who produce approximately 20% of the national agriculture production and is internationally recognized as a hub of agro-innovation. This strong position in the field contributes a lot to our understanding of the farmers’ real needs.
